IFBCA 2019 Hall of Fame Inductee - Tom Casey

The Iowa Football Coaches Association is honored to submit new members to its Hall of Fame each season. 

The IFCA Hall of Fame honor is one of the highest recognition that a coach can receive. It honors those coaches who have excelled both on and off the field. Coaches who have impacted players, schools, communities, and the game of football in Iowa.

We are pleased to announce that this year's newest Hall of Fame inductee:

Tom Casey - I-K-M, Manning

A 1973 graduate of Cumberland and Messena, Tom Casey has had a storied 40 year coaching career. After earning his degree from Peru State in 1978, he served as an assistant football coach at Manilla for seven years. Casey was the head coach for one season before it became Irwin-Kirkman-Manilla and his 22 year run with I-K-M included 5 playoff births and an impressive 12-1 run to the Class A Championship in 2006. His next 8 playoff teams would come with IKM-Manning, where he is still the head coach today. He leads the school's weightlifting program and helps teach industrial technology. Casey has earned multiple IFCA coaching honors and was the State Coach of the Year in 2006. He and his wife have four children and eight grandchildren.
