CDC & Iowa Department of Public Health Issue New COVID Guidance
Dear Staff, Students, and Families
Late this afternoon we received the following new guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Starting immediately - mask usage is a personal choice for all students, staff, and community members at all school events and during the school day including transportation. Students exposed to a positive case of COVID 19 will no longer be required to quarantine. Only the positive individual will be required to be in isolation. The guidance for length of time is attached.
With the issuance of this guidance, we will no longer have a mask mandate at school. We will, however, continue to fully support all staff, students, and community members who elect to continue the use of facial coverings. Our goal is for school to be a safe and supportive place for all individuals.
Thank you for working with us during this school year. We only have a few more days until everyone will receive a well deserved break.
