January
-School Board approves a retention stipend for our 2022-23 Staff
-Coaches Vs. Cancer Celebrated
-PROM hosts a Mattress Sale
February
-Preschool Screening for 4-Year-Olds Held
-4 Large Group Speech Groups Qualify for All-State
-School board approves bid for elementary renovation project & MS/HS bus loop project
-Strategic Plan Proposal is given a green light to proceed with Emerge Marketing
-3 teachers transfer to Teacher Leadership Roles
March
-School board approves seeking an Assistant Principal for 4-12 -grade
-High school students visit elementary to encourage kindness
-Many students & staff donate student projects to the GALA
-GALA takes place at Hausbarn
-Blood Drive held in HS Gym
-Band Palooza for MS/HS students
April
-Cory McCarville is hired as 4-12 assistant principal
-Prom, Viva Las Vegas
May
-School board approves the continuation of livestreaming board meetings to the public
-Construction begins on elementary bathroom project
-3 teachers retire from IKM-M, Rhonda Sievertsen, MS Reading, Denise Wall, MS Math, & Deanna Langel, Elementary
-Middle Schools hosts a successful Color Run with funds from Healthy Iowa Initiative
-Seniors graduate from both IKM-Manning & DMACC
-Elementary & Middle School Track & Field Days Held
June
-School board approves sub teacher pay to $160/day
-Elementary building receives a new look
July
-22 teachers appointed to leadership team positions
-Work continues on elementary bathroom & MS/HS bus loop
August
-Sports Booster Club hosts 4-Person Best Ball Golf Tournament
-Staff return for the 22-23 school year
-10 new teachers join staff
-Elementary bathroom project nears completion
-MS/HS begin using new bus loop, making it safer for our students
September
-DMACC Templeton Center begins offering classes in the new location to IKM-Manning students
-Student Council adds new signage to MS/HS Fence
-Homecoming Festivities district-wide
October
-Marching Wolves receive 1st Place in 2A bands & Best Color Guard of the Day at Urbandale
-Boys' & Girls' Cross Country teams earn first trip to state
-Winner of an Electric Bus
-Board President, Sam Hansen relocates & Jeremy Puck is appointed
-A 9th varsity football game against St. Albert Catholic Falcons gives a season win 52-17
-Music department presents some Halloween spirit
November
-13 new members are inducted into the National Honor Society, joining 18 current members
-Middle School student council hosts Veteran's Day Assembly
-FFA hosts community breakfast
-Music department puts on Krazy Kamp
December
-Color Guard takes 1st Place at State
-Business Trade Fair a great experience for our high school students
-23-28 Strategic Plan for the district is approved by board
-Middle School Student Council accepts $805 from Manilla Times Subscription Campaign
-MS/HS students & staff enjoy holiday meal paid for by the HS Student Council & made by our kitchen staff
-Coins for Kindness collects $4,730 for local families
-Winter break starts early due to blizzard conditions
