The community pep rally will be held in the IKM-Manning gymnasium in Manning beginning at 1:15 PM, with doors opening at 1:00 PM. The Homecoming parade will begin on Main Street in Manning approximately 30 minutes after the pep rally concludes.
🚗 HOMECOMING DISMISSAL FORMS – DUE MONDAY
Homecoming dismissal forms need to be completed by Monday, September 14 so we can have an organized and safe dismissal following the Homecoming Parade.

🏈 FOOTBALL CONCESSION STAND HELP NEEDED
The Fine Arts Boosters are looking for volunteers to help in the concession stand during our upcoming Varsity Football games. Parents and responsible students are encouraged to sign up!

Safety and being a good sport are important at IKM-Manning. With Homecoming and several home events coming up, please take a moment to review the attached volleyball and football expectations with your student.

⭐ HOMECOMING KID CAPTAIN
The IKM-Manning Cheer and Dance teams are once again giving students the chance to be a Kid Captain for volleyball, football, or cheer during Homecoming Week!
This opportunity is open to students in grades K–6. Please see the attached flyer for the QR code to sign up your student for a chance to be selected!
🩷 PINK OUT SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
Pink Out shirts are now available for purchase through the last week of September. These shirts are used throughout the year, so this is a great chance to stock up on your Pink Out gear!

🤖 CARROLL COUNTY EXTENSION ROBOTICS CLUB
The Carroll County Extension Office is offering a six-week Robotics Club beginning September 29 in Carroll.
This is a great opportunity for students to explore robotics, build problem-solving skills, and enjoy hands-on learning.

Tonight's XC Meet Update
LOMA has canceled tonight’s cross country meet. Due to morning rain, the track and several other areas are not drying out enough to safely run the race. The meet will not be made up.
Due to the heat, St. Albert has moved Friday night’s high school football game to a 7:30 PM kickoff.
📍 A reminder that the game will be played at Iowa Western Community College’s football field, located at 2700 College Rd., Council Bluffs.

Due to the forecasted heat, LOMA has made changes to tomorrow’s cross country meet. The junior high races have been canceled, and the high school race times have been moved back.
The girls will race at 6:15 PM, followed by the boys at 6:45 PM.

Dear Wolves,
As we prepare for our first home JV football game tonight, we want to make families and community members aware of a change to admission for this school year.
Beginning this year, admission to JV and junior high athletic events will be $5 for both adults and students.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Bound:

We will also accept credit/debit cards at the door. Cash will still be accepted, but it is not the preferred method of payment. Passes will be accepted and those can also be purchased on Bound.

Tonight is also our first home volleyball game of the season! We hope you’ll join us and cheer on the Wolves!

We have a busy and exciting week ahead as we prepare to kick off another great school year! Here are a few important announcements and reminders for our families:
Open Houses – August 19 & 20
Our Preschool–12th Grade Open Houses will be held from 5:30–7:00 PM:
Wednesday, August 19 – Irwin
Thursday, August 20 – Manning
Come hungry! C-3 (Christ, Community & Celebration) will be providing a FREE hot dog meal for all families both evenings.
The Sacred Heart Community Closet will also be set up both nights with FREE backpacks and Wolves gear for ALL students, families, and staff, available while supplies last.
Be sure to stop by and visit organizations that support IKM-Manning to learn more about ways you can get involved and help support our students throughout the school year.

Freshman & New High School Student Orientation
Incoming freshmen and students who are new to IKM-Manning High School are invited to orientation on Thursday, August 20 at 1:00 PM in the auditorium. Orientation will last approximately one hour.
Football Gatorade Scrimmage
Come out and get your first look at the Wolves football team! The Gatorade Scrimmage will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 20. Admission is two 20 oz. sports drinks.

Homecoming Shirt Reminder: If you are purchasing a Homecoming shirt for Class Color Day, please remember that Middle School is grades 4–6 and Junior High is grades 7–8 when selecting your shirt.
Looking Ahead – First Day of School!
The first day of school is Monday, August 24! Please remember that we will have an early dismissal on the first day at 12:40 PM in Irwin and 1:00 PM in Manning.

Dear Wolves,
The IKM-Manning Community School District is excited to partner with the Sacred Heart Community Closet to continue supporting students and families as we prepare for the upcoming school year.
While there will not be a full-sized Back to School Free Garage Sale this year, the Sacred Heart Community Closet will still be providing assistance to IKM-Manning families by offering free backpacks and Wolves clothing during the Back to School Open House. These items will be available to anyone who can use them, no questions asked. Backpacks and Wolves clothing will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The Sacred Heart Community Closet is currently accepting donations of:
*New or gently used backpacks
*Wolves/IKM-Manning clothing
Please ensure all clothing donations are freshly laundered and in good condition. At this time, the Community Closet is not accepting other types of donations.
Donations may be dropped off at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (203 Sue St, Manning) under the coat rack in the hallway through August 14.
We are grateful to the Sacred Heart Community Closet and everyone who continues to donate, volunteer, and support IKM-Manning students. Your generosity helps ensure our students have the resources they need for a successful start to the school year.
